Student Visit and Parent Interview

After you submit your application, please contact the Admissions Office at 703-837-1303 to schedule your child’s visit and your parent interview.

    • Grade 2-8 prospective students will visit for a full-day.

Additionally, if possible, we will visit a Kindergarten applicant’s current school to observe the child in a familiar environment.

Parent Interview

The parent interview is an opportunity for you to ask questions about ACDS, to further inform us about your child, and for us to get to know you. The interview will be scheduled once the application has been received.

Upon careful review of each application, the Admissions Committee provides admissions decisions to families in early March. Each piece of the application provides the Admissions Committee with a stronger sense of your child. In making admissions decisions, the Admissions Committee, made up of admissions staff, faculty, and Heads of Lower and Middle School, reviews a student’s visit, academic record, test scores, learning style, and overall school experience. It is our goal to discover all that your child will gain from and contribute to an ACDS experience.
