The Dining Hall

An important element of a student's total educational experience is making new friends and interacting in a social community outside of the classroom setting, an opportunity that the daily lunch break provides. The planned dining hall will provide benefits for the entire school community. For teachers, it will preserve the academic focus of the classroom, maintain a clean classroom environment, and afford more time for adequate lesson planning. For students it will provide a safe gathering place to meet and foster relationships with other students in various grade levels. The dining hall will also offer a controlled environment for food, which will eliminate many of the current dangers for our students who suffer serious food-related allergies. The Fulfilling our Vision plan calls for a dining hall that will include:

• a commercial kitchen with a serving line,

• and a multi-functional space that will be used for lunch seating as well as to host a variety of functions, events, and meetings.
